POLICY AND TRUST

Terms of Service

The binding agreement for accepted requests, payment, delivery, originality checks, revisions, and dispute handling.

Effective 24 July 2026 · Version 2.0

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the Signal Academic operator identified on the applicable quote, invoice, or payment record. You accept them by submitting a request, accepting a quote, paying, creating an account, or using a workspace.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

Service and acceptance

Signal Academic provides scoped tutoring, research guidance, methodology support, draft review, editing, citation support, statistics, coding support, presentation coaching, exam preparation, and project planning.

A request is not accepted until Signal Academic issues a quote and you approve it. The quote controls the deliverables, price, deadline, assumptions, review period, and revisions.

Your responsibilities

Provide complete instructions, working files, an accurate deadline and timezone, and timely replies. You remain responsible for your submissions, disclosures, and compliance with applicable rules.

Impersonation, exam taking, restricted account access, fabricated data or sources, detection evasion, and unlawful use are prohibited.

Payment and conditional release

A price shown as from is a starting point. The approved quote is the final commercial scope. Unless stated otherwise, payment is due before work begins.

Eligible payments follow a conditional-release accounting model and remain internally unearned until the milestone release condition is met. This is not a bank, regulated escrow, deposit, trust, or fiduciary service.

Revisions

A revision corrects a delivered item so it conforms to the approved scope. A new topic, dataset, method, rubric, word count, deadline, or deliverable is new scope and may require a new quote.

Originality release gate

Written deliverables must pass the Zero-AI and 100% Originality Policy before completion. Copyleaks is the default API provider. Turnitin is used only where licensed credentials are active.

Original means no knowingly copied or unattributed material. It does not mean a literal zero-percent similarity result. Proper citations, quotations, common phrases, and technical language can create legitimate similarity.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of material you submit and license it only for review, delivery, security, verification, and administration. Subject to full payment and third-party rights, Signal Academic assigns the transferable rights it holds in the bespoke final deliverable.

Pre-existing methods, templates, software, know-how, and licensed material remain with their owner.

Communications and reviews

You authorize service communications through your selected contact method. The system may schedule one neutral Trustpilot invitation for 24 hours after completion. Eligible clients are invited without regard to expected sentiment. Positive reviews are not required or rewarded.

Account security

Protect passwords and access codes and report suspected misuse promptly. Signal Academic may suspend access to protect a request, person, account, or system.

No outcome guarantee

Signal Academic does not guarantee a grade, admission, publication, examination result, employment result, or institutional decision. Support is provided with reasonable care, but you decide how to use it.

Suspension and termination

Service may be suspended or terminated for nonpayment, abuse, fraud, security risk, material breach, or a prohibited request. Accrued payment, confidentiality, intellectual property, and dispute obligations survive where intended.

Liability

Nothing excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability may be limited, total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific request giving rise to the claim. Signal Academic is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for an academic or institutional outcome.

Disputes and governing law

Raise a dispute first through the secure workspace with the request ID and precise issue. These Terms are governed by Massachusetts law, and courts in Suffolk County, Massachusetts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Non-waivable consumer protections in your place of residence remain available.
